OTOH the best I ever did was with my $1500 1998 Jetta TDI. I think that
might be my favorite car. It's too bad the tin worm was so bad to it.
Hammie the $1500, and then $800 '83 240D was also a good value, both times
I owned it.

the fellow, but he is elusive; he is either cloistered in his home out of

and he told me the that next day they were leaving for Germany for the
summer. He said that he has a man that watches his house but he
appreciate
the offer and said that we would meet up once he returned in the fall.
Two days ago I noticed his pristine 500 SL parked in the driveway, so I
knew he had returned.
Yesterday when I was driving by I saw that his garage door was up. As I
looked over, I saw him pouring something into the fuel tank of his black

280 SE Coupe.
We talked for an hour. I saw his garage stable (560 SEL, 500SL, ML350,
280 SE Coupe, RR Silver Spur) but didn’t see the carport. He says he may
be
thinning the herd a bit (he just sold his W126 coupe and his ‘60 190 SL).
I called dibs on the rest for us.
