Last night I was in town, started the car up and got the BAS ABS error
and of course no cruise control. Restarted car and no light but still
not cruise. Today hooked up DAS and of course brake lite switch. I
thought I had one or 2 on the shelf, but I have 2 cranks sensors on the
shelf. I reset it and it has not come back, but I have not driven the
car yet, guess i will put in an order.
On another note, what sort of mileage are you folks with 606 turbos
getting? I can't seem to break 28-29 normally, even on all highway
trips. I have hit 30-31 once or twice. At first the Chinese clutch
locked up most of the time so I figured that might be dragging it down.
Put the correct one on, also retimed the IP and seems like there was
something else I did and it did not seem to make a difference on
mileage. With the IP retime, the smoke at idle seems to have stopped
but today it seemed I got a wiff on strong diesel exhaust and thought I
saw some smoke. I am wondering if I need to just go ahead and replace
the nozzles?
I know this is a stupid question, but what temp should it be running?
This one seems to run right at the 80 mark most of the time and am
wondering if that is too low causing increased fuel consumption. Seems
most of the other 606 powered 210s I have had usually ran somewhat above
the 80 mark.
