I think that's the problem - and the starter for the OM61xs are on the passenger's side and the starter for the OM60x are on the driver's side. The shift linkage cable for the OM60x transmission is in the passenger's side and I THINK the cable for the OM61x is on the driver's side - LOTS of little differences. The basic mechanisms are the same, but how the bolt up and attach are rather different.
