I have an '80 240D that has eaten the inside of the front passenger tire, is

there a place anyone recommends for an alignment in the Atlanta area?

Have you examined the car for loose parts?  It's a waste of money to
have an alignment attempt done if there's a bad ball joint or something.
Jack up the front and yank and wiggle on things first.
