It’s not at all. I’ve rebuilt domestic slushboxes some years back, and other 
than what you point out, it’s not a difficult job at all. It doesn’t even 
require any specialized tools for the most part, basically a good pair of 
expanding ring pliers.

If you had a place to do the work where you could lay everything out as you 
disassemble/reassemble it would be pretty simple. It’s mostly just popping 
clutches open, replacing the frictions and steels, bearings and seals, and 
putting everything back together.
