I received a weird Paypal email concerning a $500 request for money. It seemed legit until I engaged with the 800 number rep who sounded overseas. I hung up and then called Paypal (tough to find their ph. number!) and learned this is a scam to get you to install an app on your desktop or phone, for nefarious purposes. There really was a $500 req
