I drove my W140 home in 2nd gear at 35-45mph depending on traffic.
35 was quite comfortable, if I didn't have cars piling up behind me.
45 really made me want to grab the lever and upshift.
It could have gone 60, but that seemed a bit too much for a 45 mile trip
in an unknown and potentially abused car.
