I am trying to understand the keys on my new-to-me W211. It seems that each of the two keys activates a separate set of preferences in the car. One of the fobs wasn't working to lock/unlock so I replaced its batteries, and now it works. But with one key, the seat moves to a different position from when I use the other key. The data displayed in the center of the dash is different also. As are the climate settings (using one key, the climate control is set for 72 degrees, with the other key it's 70).
Since I don't have a manual yet, I'm trying to puzzle it out by experimentation. Sorry I have no suggestions for your problem....
