Loved it a few years ago when the power had been out for a few days, and the neighbors came up for dinner. They had: candles. (No doubt gluten- and cruelty-free.) We had the (evil, fossil-fueled) backup genny running, so we had (wood) heat, lights, water... They stayed for hours before trudging back home in the dark.
