We have a huge wind and solar project going in just north of me that is supposed to be online within the few years. Also within the next few years the very large coal fired plant south of us is supposed to be shut down. Supposedly this wind and solar is supposed to make up the difference. How is that possible? There was a segment on the news about renewable energy waste and how it’s recycled. Most of the blades are buried but there is a company that breaks them down and shreds them. This looks like a very energy intensive thing to me. Also also talked about used solar panels and showed a recycling facility for these. This also looks to me like it would consume huge amounts of energy.
