The 1990 300D 2.5 Turbo has been sitting for 5 days and now it won’t start. It glows just fine so I think it’s a fuel issue. The injector pump shut off lever is in the depressed position. That doesn’t seem right. I can pull it up but it just flops back down. If I hold it up while someone else cranks it still won’t start. After many cranking attempts it almost started a few times but I was afraid to drain the battery or kill the starter so I stopped. Not sure what’s going on. It actually did this to me a couple of months ago after the car sat for a month while I sorted the relay ground issue but it eventually did start. So it seems like when the car sits it develops this problem. Maybe it’s an air leak at the injection pump?
