I have rented a good-sized wood chipper a few times. They have safety features to mostly keep a user from killing zitselves but you need to be aware and cautious. The ones I rented can do a 4” branch. Engine driven. Loud as hell and stuff can get thrown ar, wear noise and eye protection.
They grind stuff up pretty well so vines and stuff emerge fairly pulverized. If you rent one check the chopper wheel first to make sure the blade is sharp. I got one once and the blade had no edge whatsoever and wouldn’t work and kept jamming.
