From what I can tell those DIY units have special quick connect fittings and 
are ready to go. They are also more expensive. The others that have regular 
flair fittings require a vacuum to be pulled (no big deal) but are quite a bit 
cheaper. Research also seems to indicate all the brands are made by about 2 
different companies in China. Gree might be one of the companies that make many 
of them sold under different brands. 

Been thinking about doing a multiple zone setup out in the shop.
