Good points, Curt.

I had a “Haier” consumer thing that was intended for cleaning jewelry that
actually did a good job, but it didn’t survive the move. That and it didn’t
hold a lot of stuff, either, maybe 1/2 liter, if that. I watch the local
university’s surplus store, which is a spectacular place I have to avoid
whenever possible (I got an HP Color LaserJet CP4525 with the duplexer, roller
base and nearly new HP toner cartridges throughout and only 23,000 pages
through it for $35!) Things start coming out of the labs and other places now
that the students are gone for the summer, so I’ll be trolling that place
weekly if not more often.

I’ll be doing mostly plastics like posts and things from pinball machine
playfields, so I don’t need a lot of volume. But I do want one that does the
job.

Thanks!

I've got a cheap one from Amazon, 1l I think. It's terrible, does basically
nothing.

A buddy has a 1gal unit that came out of a lab at UConn. His is amazing, you
can watch brass come clean. The water turns gross fast.

I'm on the lookout for a "real" one...

Looking at these for general small parts cleaning and such. I see a lot of
“imported” models on Amazon, of course, but how to tell the difference or
what’s better/worse?

3 liters is the right size for me, I have determined, so I’m working with that
as a point of reference.

Anyone use/own one of these, and if so, your recommendations?

TIA,
