My brother has located a 1972 250C automatic and is thinking about
buying it. I have heard legends about the dual downdraft carbs-any real
issues there? What about timing chain issues? Any other items to watch
for?

A question about badging-this one is a 114-023 chassis, but on the
center bottom of the VIN plate it says *250/8* According to the index
of sedan images on MBZ.org, the 250/8 was a 114-021? Was the 250/8 euro?
Puzzle is that this car has a six cylinder engine. TIA Dwight
