I see there are caliper rebuild kits - does this usually fix what
causes a
sticking caliper or should I buy a new one?
It's messy, but I think a rebuild will do the job. The other (and
in fact, more) usual suspect for a one-sided drag is an aged rubber
brake hose. If one's doing this it's probably time to change them all.
Also, what else should I look
at/replace that may have been damaged from the excessive heat? I am
thinking
perhaps the bearing?
I myself am planning to assume that mine are still OK, especially since
rear bearings are no walk in the park.
