It is recommended to fit thread tape to the bleeder screw to stop air getting in. Remember if the car has ABS then you gotta get a power bleeder to put real pressure into the system.

the bleeder and no air gets in through the bleeder threads. MityVac
always sucked air in through the bleeder threads when I tried to use it.
