Blowby has gotten worse. Compression is horrible, only 1 cylinder has gotten
better, the rest are lower. 1-320, 2-240, 3-325, 4-310, 5-315. Compression
readings were 1-300, 2-300, 3-380, 4-345, 5-360..... Also the vacuum system has
oil in it.... yeeehawwwwww. So, I added some marvel mystery oil to each
cylinder and I'm gonna let it sit like that for a week or more.

A switch to synthetic would cost $$$$$$ at 1qt/200 mi. Can you manually
take the air cleaner apart and clean it?

What would cause the large amounts of fresh oil in the intake manifold?

Blowby. I have seen people who have put in recovery jars. On the brighter
side 300D cast iron turbo engines just sit around now in Dallas Yards. Dealers
tend not to be able to make easy money on 300D's and SD's now.
I have too many projects now. But would not mind getting and parking an
ultra clean SDL/bad engine or figuring a way to slide a 124 by with a cast iron
diesel.
