I agree with this wholeheartedly. There are beefed up components and cheap components for them. You get the good stuff only if you pay for it. In addition, there are cheap and quality torque converters. I would also install a transmission cooler.
Now that I think of it, are you sure that vehicle has a 700R4. I thought it came with a TH400 (aka 3L80 or 4L80). I don't think the 700R4 was used with the diesel, though I am not sure.
