And automotive diesel is a common fuel for jet engines that have been "repurposed" to power dragsters and the like. (In aircraft that would be a serious no-no -- it might gel in the cold air at altitude.) The real question is a legal one. If this stuff is substantially different from normal jet fuel, the engines and fuel system will have to be recertified for it before the FAA will let airlines use it. If the savings are substantial enough, though, someone will pay for the testing to make that happen.
