I think that this has been hashed over many times. But, I'll say it again. Since about 1971 or 1972 when the Mann+Hummel factory burned to the ground and Mercedes was back ordering filters to MB dealers worldwide, Knecht, Hengst & Mahle were added to Mercedes list of genuine filter manufacturers. These 4 companies continue to this day to be the original manufacturers for Mercedes. What else need be said? Oh, I know. Bosch NEVER has been an OE supplier to Mercedes for air or oil filters, NEVER.
