It's a 1979 with only a solid rod control, no vacuum control. All linkages are good. Not sure what the correct setting/orientation is for the lever.
I forget exactly, but you do something like floor the accelerator andthen set the linkage to be all the way forward at the same time. Something
like that, I had to do it on the Albatross. Made a big difference on shifting in it, but the linkage had obviously come loose there. -- Jim
