I used a specialty 3M product called 'Body and Trim Adhesive' or something like that, when I did the convertible top on the Cabriolet. I got it at B&B Auto Parts. It worked well...insanely sticky, though. If you drip it on upholstery or clothing it soaks in instantly and you can forget about getting it out.
