A local mechanic who restores and repairs classic cars, had an MB limousine in his shop a few years ago. It had a hydraulic system which operated thewindows or locks, (I forget which); the reason being that the hydraulicsystem did not make any noise. MB wanted $2300.00 for the main hydraulic control unit in the drivers door which you could hold in the palm of yourhand.
