Laura and I got rid of a 1991 corolla LE... It was a rust bucket and the clutch went out on it (probably $1k to replace)... about 133k miles. (it went away maybe a year and a half ago) and was starting to smoke a bit and get noisy (needed valve seals and the hydraulic lifter shims examined.) -j.
