Brake squeal is caused by the brake pads vibrating at high frequency.
The magic goo goes between the back of the pads & caliper & helps dampen
the vibration. Your local discount parts store usually has small packs
for sale on the counter for less than $1.00 each. Just ask for the brake
anti-squeal compound & they will know exactly what you want.

If I recall there is some sort of magic goo that MB sells to apply to 
the pads to keep them from squeaking, or you could use some of the 
generic stuff I suppose (Zo it vill not be PRRRROPER!)
