My monthly rent at Bay Club (Southside Blvd.) in 1996 exceeds my house
payment in 2007.

And Bay Club was a 2 bedroom with a one car garage! The three bedroom units
were > $1000.

I rest my case.

I think my parents' condo at Crescent Beach set them back just over $100K
about 15/20 years ago. The same units are now approaching a half to three
quarters of a million on resale. It is totally nuts.

Move that to my neighborhood and you can get many, many times that amount.
There is even a waterfront lot available at the end of our street [and we
are at the other, low rent, end ...] for about $1.3m for you to put it on.
