muffler for the 91 300D which looked to be identical to the original that

My point being, Rusty's parts suppliers get/sell different brands and
the selection is often a basis of price. I suspect WP supplied whatever
they had on the shelf and its quality was the result of WPs never-ending
quest to remain competitive by reducing prices. You'd be amazed at the
number of people who buy strictly on the basis of price regardless of
quality. Some people will spend an inordinate amount of time trying to
make a POS part fit (i.e, get a bigger hammer - also known as a BFH) when
the OEM part would slip right in.
I guess the most important part is seeing Rusty step up and provide a
replacement at a competitive price.
We're very lucky to have Rusty working with us to make things right. The
added benefit of having Rusty monitor the list and provide help on parts
without being asked. Don't see that very often/
