Chain stretch on that engine is easily measured. If the stretch exceeds 4 degrees the chain should be replaced. Average stretch seems to be between 0.5 to 1 degree of stretch per 100,000 miles if oiol is changed at prudent intervals. I've attached the TSB on measuring stretch!
