Except Mercedes doesn't give their cars to too many people other than the Pope. 
First Pope to receive a free Benz was Pius XI - a Nurburg...it was the 
centerfold in Star mag a few issues back...or was it the Benz Classic mag.

Anyway, When Card. Ratzinger was elected Pope and moving into his new 
apartment, he came in his W126. For the occassion, DaimlerChyrsler donated a 
new fire truck to the Vatican fire department.

Paul VI was given a 600, which the Vatican gave back some years ago and now 
sits in the MB museum. I bet Kim il Sung had to pay for his.

MB Canada did not charge at all for the glovebox manual for my '79 300TD. This 
was about three years ago, so that policy may have changed...
