The green stuff doesn't have sufficient anti-corrosive power to prevent corrosion of the head and radiator (and heater core, too). Long term use will result in clogged or leaking radiators (or both at once) and severe enough corrosion of the head to blow the head gasket (happened on my sister's Volvo -- naturally, on the highway at speed, cost them a new rad and new head).

Even so, you must change it every two years for adequate protection.
