RTV it was. We'll see how good it is - one of the 10 bolts at the back end of the pan was stripped - it's tight enough to stay in place (so far), and I applied blue lock-tite. I'll be watching to see what happens.

As much as I love Hylomar and hate RTV, if there's a possibility of some larger gaps remaining, I'd go with the RTV. Hylomar fills imperfections perfectly, but it's not intended to fill gaps. --------Robert
