I use to put the injector in a clean plastic water bottle and life the float and watch it spray. Not with the engine running of course. Careful, you are dealing with raw fuel, and with a CIS< it's under a LOT of pressure!! CIS is "Continous Injection System". Simple and durable system. I think some of the injectors also have small screens in them, as a last line of defense if the fuel filter misses something?? More often than not, I think they just gum up a little. No moving parts in them, so you can try to clean them somewhat.
