Think so? I'd say the wagon. I've never had a 124 wagon but my 123 wagon was the most comfortable ride I've ever had.
Of course my wagon was a disaster but when it was running good it was the most pleasurable car to drive I've ever had. My wife agrees, someday we're planning on driving across the US and I've already compiled a short list of possible cars 116 SD 123 TD - either turbo or manual shift n/a. A friend has a 4spd and says its a hoot. I haven't driven it yet. aircooled VW microbus. Obviously one of these things is not like the others... In any event there would be a fairly big money outlay for the vehicle to make sure it was in tip top shape before the trip. Any opinions, I'm thinking to buy a mid price range car in decent shape with a few issues and spend a few months and some probably not inconsiderable cash making it perfect. As opposed to buying something more expensive that might have hidden flaws that we'd discover on the road... -Curt Date: Sat, 04 Aug 2007 07:10:21 -0400 From: Mitch Haley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] Shocking To: Mercedes Discussion List <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > The car still does not bottom out or bang down after going over a speed hump > at 30 MPH! The W116 is the ultimate car for suckering a tailgater over a rough railroad crossing at 60mph. W126 may be as good, but I haven't owned one of those. It's not a stunt you want to pull in a W201.034, mine rides like a buckboard compared to my 300SD. Mitch. --------------------------------- Looking for a deal?
