I did 418 miles on my last tank and it took 60 litres to fill. The book says the tank should hold 78 litres so I should have been able to make 500 miles on the tank if I had kept moving. That is better than 26 mpg converted to US gallons. That is the best I have managed in the 3 summers I have driven it.
Still wouldn't mind having the aux tank.
