Over the past 3 summers I have driven it just about 6K miles. So far my average is just over 20 mpg US. The best I had done previously was about 23 mpg on a highway trip. This time, over 26 mpg but I was going a bit slower due to the wildlife.
I have heard that driving the old diesels is good for them so maybe it is the case with my car. I don't think it had been driven much for quite a while before I got it.
