Have not been there, but I was told by some guys who went to the big woodworking show a year or two ago (big industrial stuff) that in China they were building million sq ft furniture factories, all automated, logs go in one end, finished furniture comes out the other, very little human intervention. If you go buy furniture today, lots of times you have to wait for 6-10 weeks to get it -- transit time. And the prices of raw wood these days is sky-high, guess where a lot of it is going?
