Speaking of which, my Dad is a serious gun collector so I bounced this off him.
  He says the really early Stevens lever guns can be worth some fairly good 
money, say $600 or so. Later bolt action rifles aren't worth squat in alot of 
cases.
  It'd be a good idea to take them to a good shop to get a value before doing 
anything else.

  Oh, he also says Rugers like my .44 go for $800-$900, score! We shot it 
yesterday and its sweet, at 50 yards we were getting 1-2" 5 shot groups with 
iron sights. I shot a <1" 3 shot group offhand.
