Took the Dakota to the store, the 2-3 shift seems to have settled down 
considerably 1-2 is still out. The magic seems to be to slip into neutral, then 
back into drive and gently give throttle.
Twice it slipped from 3rd or 4th into 1st at speed. When it does that it feels 
like you're in neutral but I felt it slip into first so I knew what was up and 
just went to neutral, paused and back to drive and it went right back to the 
appropriate gear.

Any ideas? I'm divided between a shift controller and clogged filter.
