Why are you gonna use M1 ATF? While we are talking M1, a fella on the OZBENZ site posted a PDF of an article in a magazine where they subjected various synthetic and semi-synthetic engine oils to the Timken load test. To cut a long story short M1 did not do that well, especially when compared to it's semi-synthetic cousin which did three times as well.
