You know, I so agree! I'm so frustrated by events in the news, "fiscal budget," politics... I wonder if my vote is worth the effort and fuel to show up at the polls. I do know that the biggest impact I can have is to be a good steward of resources, my own finances and 'Earth.'
It's for that reason that I'm most adamant about my old MBs. They should outlive my needs. AND... I find it ironic that I'm the one most often called upon when the friend or neighbor needs reliable transportation as their new (financed) vehicle didn't serve them. Probably the best legacy to leave is the smallest footprint. > From: "E M" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: Mercedes Discussion List <mercedes@okiebenz.com> > Date: Tue, 5 Feb 2008 18:55:04 -0500 > To: "Mercedes Discussion List" <mercedes@okiebenz.com> > Subject: Re: [MBZ] My next activity > > I read an article, written back in the 80s I think, that said in the UK, the > energy used to manufacture a new car was equal to driving the then average > new car about 50,000 miles, if my memory serves me.
