speaking of new MBs - I am always hesitant to believe anything I see in the new car road tests -- now, if they'd do a comprehensive road test after 100k miles or so I might find the info useful.
I sincerely hope virtually *any* car maker can get a new car off the showroom floor that will hang together - so all I look for is info about ergonomics, options, size, mpg, that kind of stuff. But I donlt think we;ll ever hear about things failing during a road test, even though I'm sure sometimes things do fail. But it;s a moot point anyway since I, like Andrew, have no plans to buy a new car - course, if I win the lottery I might treat myself - don;t know if it would be a MB or not - perhaps.
