I'm sure I'm late to the party (Hello from Las Vegas!) but... I've done alot of repairs with JB Weld, remember its NOT adhesive... You have to treat the repair just like you would a weld, grind a V channel along the break at least 1/4 way through the metal. Then grind some channels perpendicular to the break also about 1/4" the depth of the metal. Use JB Weld not JB Kwik, the former dries MUCH more slowly but is also MUCH stronger. That said you need to use alot and you need to give it something to bite. Everything you put the JB Weld on must be ABSOLUETELY clean. There can't be any oil contamination at all...

Wonder what it would do if I didnt fix it? Probably not much I figure the stub will rest on the top of the trans mount maybe. WOuld rather fix it. Tried JB weld but it snapped off. Might try some fresh JB weld. Anybody got any other creative ideas? Dont really want to pull the back plate and swap it but I guess I could if it came down to it. -- Kaleb C.
