Hi guys, I've started looking at gasser 126 cars (real cheap these days with regular @ $3.50/gal!) and I keep seeing 500SELs, 560SELs, and 420SELs in pretty much the same price range, considering condition.
Seems like all other things being equal, an '85 500 in good shape is a better deal than an '86 420, since the difference in fuel economy is more than cancelled out by the fact that the 420 requires premium. Besides the obvious (iron vs. aluminum block, flush headlights, 15" wheels) are there any differences worth considering between the pre- and post-'86 cars?
