I never thought of doing it that way. Should work just fine as far as I can see and a lot less expensive than a more polished version. I have an old jack like that. Looks like a neat day's play to see how it works. If you get one make sure you put a catch container under the injector and don't put any body parts in the way of the spray from the injector, not very healthy to get that diesel injected into your skin.
