Part of the reason for the long lead time is to keep my testing group
happy.  I don't see a problem moving the branch out a week (to 3/5).
I'll check with them to be sure.

I'd be in favor of dumping the various unmaintained software
rasterization drivers.  beos, dos, d3d, and svga could probably be added
to that list.  I'm not too excited about dumping working hardware
drivers, though.  We should probably come up with a complete candidate
list and circulate it.  Any drivers that nobody stands up for should get
axed.
