Hi Glenn,

If I understood right, you are trying to use JOGL on Yocto Dunfell with 
meta-amd, right?
And I assume you are using meta-amd with branch dunfell.
For now, the BSP only supports e3000 and rome, and graphic features, such as 
opengl and x11, are removed by default.

I have some further questions:
1. what's your image name, "core-image-sato" or "core-image-base"?
2. what's your machine, "e3000" or "rome"?
2. please execute "bitbake -g <image>" and provide "pn-buildlist".
3. please execute "bitbake -e <image> > env" and provide "env".

Besides, you could have another try:
1. edit meta-amd/meta-amd-bsp/conf/machine/include/amdx86.inc, remove "opengl 
x11" from DISTRO_FEATURES_remove variable.
