DDE would be a far better method, and easier to implement now that my
external adds DDE to MetaCard. If you have the source to the other
program I can send you a little skeleton app showing how to get the basic
DDE into your program.

That's another disadvantage, if users place something into the clipboard
it gets cleared anytime your program "communicates".
