We are trying to develop CD delivered continuing education. What we need
is some way to let the student take the final exam only once. I am
considering writting a file to the users HD once they begin the exam and
then check for that hidden file if they attemt to do the exam again. I
appreciate that this is not hack-proof but for our potential users it
would probably work. What I need is some advice re where to write the
file on a PC and Mac, is this really an acceptable idea, and does anyone
have any other ideas?
