Hi again.
Is there a way of querying (or perhaps even changing) the color depth of
a monitor? (If anyone uses the words "external commands", "dll",
"registry" or any other such mystical terms, I'm afraid I'll have to run
and hide my head.)
The importance of knowing this dawned on me this evening as I watched
the stack I'm porting to mac suddenly go yucky during a card transition
(all because my four-year old had neglected to reset the monitor after a
heavy-duty session of Tonka Construction).
